chalk lines

2013. ongoing

'chalk lines' as a project and artistic practice, was primarily born out of a visual interest in the grass roots of a sport. Whether the sport interests one or not, its cultural and physical influence is undeniable. A glance at any aerial views of many a land reveals its iconic motive etched into the landscape, like a million Uffington White Horses. More interestingly sport and it's iconography within within daily life draws focus on the idea of hope, the curious nature of belief - the ability to commit  to an act with no assurance of a beneficial outcome.
